Topic:  Enhanced Care Management Skills

Enhanced Care Management Skills training is a course that focuses on project protocols, quality, performance, and best practices in care management. Four themes are woven throughout the course: Care coordination, cultural competence, care planning, and working in teams. The course content will cover essential topics such as: Team Based Care, Population Health Management, Performance and Quality Improvement, Patient Centered Approach and Chronic Disease Management. Students will receive a digital badge and a certificate upon completion from Marist College

Date: July 30th 2018 to October 5th 2018

Location: Marist College Online Learning Platform

Audience: Training audience can be, but not limited to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Social Workers. This five-module course is designed to provide fundamental knowledge regarding care management standards and principles required for healthcare transformation.

Important Announcement _ VBP University

Message from the Medicaid Redesign Team:

We are excited to announce the launch of Value Based Payment-U (VBP-U), Sophomore Year, Semester 1!
VBP-U is an online, educational resource created to raise awareness, knowledge and expertise in the move to Value Based Payment (VBP). VBP-U combines informational videos and supplemental materials that stakeholders interested in VBP can use to advance their understanding of this healthcare transformation effort.
Building off of the success and interest of VBP-U least year, VBP-U: Sophomore Year, Semester One is designed to serve as a deeper dive into VBP fundamentals. This semester’s curriculum includes summary documents from the Fall 2017 VBP Bootcamps, information on the Medicare Access & Children´s Health Insurance Reauthorization Act (MACRA), guidance documents for Chief Medical Officers (CMOs), and guidance documents for addressing social determinants of health through VBP.
Additional Information on upcoming VBP-U Sophomore Year Semesters
In the coming months, we will be releasing additional semesters of VBP-U followed by a VBP bootcamp this Fall. The tentative schedule of release is as follows:
Semester 1
July 2018
Semester 2
August 2018
Semester 3
September 2018
Semester 4**
September 2018**
**Semester 4 of VBP-U Sophomore year will be a Value Based Payment Bootcamp.  More information including a date and location will be distributed shortly via this listserv.
VBP-U Sophomore Year Certificate of Completion
Semesters 1-3 of VBP-U Sophomore Year will conclude with a quiz on the topics covered. Those who pass all three quizzes with a grade of 80% or higher, will receive a certificate of completion. You may take the quiz multiple times until you pass. Results are automatically sent to the Department of Health. Certificates will be e-mailed those who compete all three quizzes on a quarterly basis.
As a reminder, VBP-U Freshman Year is still available to view and complete and additional materials will be announced through this listserv when they become available.
